Sunday is Trinity Sunday. Genesis 1:26 says “Then God said, “Let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness;…” Some have wondered if the “us” mentioned are the other living things that God already created. Others think that the Trinity is with God, and God’s three persons are living into this act of creating humans. In both ideas, there is a dance shared with humanity, God and the rest of Creation.
Ponder these questions: Where or how do you feel invited to join in this dance of Creation right now? Are aspects of the created world left sitting on the edge of the dance floor and need to be more fully invited into the dance?
Pray…Faithful Creator, we give thanks for your forming, saving, and empowering work in our lives. Shape us for a closer relationship with you and a meaningful life among our neighbors. Amen.
