Welcome to Wondering Wednesday. You are encouraged to use this as personal devotion and reflection. You are encouraged to hop on the church Facebook page or Instagram page and wonder with others.“[Jesus] began to say to them, ‘today this scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing'” (Luke 4:21)Now, before reading the complete scripture for this coming Sunday, consider how often you really understand scripture as being “fulfilled”. Does it mean “has come to life” or “is completed”? Once you’ve wondered about this, you are invited to read the scripture for Sunday. Scripture (click link to read):  Luke 4:14-21Wonder… Jesus seems to want the people of his hometown to know that the words spoken by Isaiah long ago about God’s Spirit being upon us are coming true now. It might mean that Jesus understands God’s Spirit is upon him, or it might mean that we are all to recognize the Spirit of God in each of us.Wonder … how might our living be changed if we truly felt God’s Spirit anointing us to bring good news, freedom, and new life? This week, share a story of God’s good news happening in your community with someone you know. Pray We long for news that is good, O God –good for this earth, good for our hearts, good for communities.Teach us to listen for your good newsabout those ways you have set before us,exemplified for us,and called forth from us.Amen.
