The Sunday before Lent begins each year is marked by “Transfiguration Sunday”. The Transfiguration is an awesome moment in scripture. With the disciples, we are witnesses to Jesus’ light. As we prepare to embark on the season of Lent, we are reminded that Jesus lived as the light of God’s love among us. From there, we are challenged to carry that light forward into Lent and beyond.

Pray…O Sacred Love, you encounter us in places where we seek you and in places where we flee from you. Ease our fears. Open our ears and eyes to you, wherever and in whomever you reveal yourself to us. Prepare us to journey as you call. Amen.
