As we begin to look forward to celebrating with family and friends this holiday season, let’s join together and brighten up the holidays for those less fortunate. You can help our neighbors in need by participating in filling Christmas Baskets with non-perishable food and gift cards or making a gift bag for a homeless CCSA client. Our CCSA Christmas Tree will be located in the UCUC narthex beginning on Sunday, November 18th and will be decorated with ornaments. On the back of each ornament is the name of food items or monetary dollar amounts for gift cards. Please take as many ornaments as you wish. Your donations should be returned to the boxes under the Christmas Tree by Sunday, December 9th . If you are able, please come to the narthex on Tuesday, December 11th at 10am to help pack the baskets. Here is the list of non-perishable food items for the Christmas dinner basket which include: stuffing mix, canned fruits and vegetables, cranberry sauce, chicken or vegetable broth, bags of rice & beans, cookie & cake mixes, maseca (for making tortillas). One 35 dollar gift card will be included in each Christmas Basket. There is also a need for individual gift bags for homeless men and women. Please put the following items in your gift bag: hygiene products, tooth brush, toothpaste, chapstick, brush or comb, socks, and a $10 gift card. Thanks for your continued generosity and support of CCSA!
