Job 38:1-7, 31-41Consider…
Thus far in our reading of Job, Job and his friends have dominated the conversation with lament and advice, questions and indictments.
Their utterances have addressed and invoked the name of God.
But now, it’s God’s turn.

This week, consider reading this text outside.
Read it outside at dawn.
Read it outside in the bright afternoon sun.
Read it/listen to it outside in the dark.

Pray Creator God,
we cannot hope to know
all that is and will be –
and when we think we do,
deliver us
from the arrogance of ignorance.
Our hope rests in your wisdom.
By that wisdom,
lead us through uncertainty
and steady us in love.
Amen.
