Psalm 145:1–5, 17–21 reminds us that God is always close to us. “God is near to all who call on God” is important to recall during times of trial and when things in our lives are going just fine. God’s glorious splendour and wondrous works are to be praised daily, forever and ever.
Wonder … What might happen if you were to begin each day with this practice: stretch your arms into the air and name one or two things for which you are thankful, saying, “I praise God for______.” Give it a try and see what happens!
Pray… God of rest and renewal, we seek what you alone can genuinely give. Break open our gratitude that we may fully embrace your good gifts. Calm our hearts, minds, and spirits, so we may bask in the fullness of your glory. Amen.
