Welcome to Wondering Wednesday. You are encouraged to use this as personal devotion and reflection. You are encouraged to hop on the church Facebook page or Instagram page and wonder with others.
WORSHIP on January 1, 2023 will beVIRTUAL ONLY!Watch for a link to worship.Prayer Group and Prayer in the Pines will not meet between Christmas and New Year’s Day.Both will resume in January.
Spend some time with these scriptures as we turn the calendar from one year to the next:Ecclesiastes 3:1-13 & Revelation 21:1-6a & Psalm 8

There is a time for everything under heaven….God is making all things new… O God, how majestic is your name…Let these scriptures seep into your very being.Know that God is making YOU new.Know that there is a time for everything.Know that God is with us always, to be praised always. Both in 2022 and in 2023.Wonder …This week, instead of usual resolutions, consider adopting a new prayer practice or spiritual disciple for the coming year. Maybe it’s 2 minutes of silence a day or writing a psalm a day or committing to look at the stars each night. Whatever it is, make sure it’s not too long or unmanageable. And trust that God will work through whatever you decide!   Pray…When the carols have been stilled,When the star-topped tree is taken down,When family and friends are gone home,When we are back to our schedulesThe work of Christmas begins:   To welcome the refugee,   To heal a broken planet,   To feed the hungry,   To build bridges of trust, not walls of fear,   To share our gifts,   To seek justice and peace for all people,   To bring Christ’s light to the world.
