Passion Scripture – Mark 14:1-15:47
Consider… We want to skip from the “Hosanna” shouts and palm parade to the joy of Easter. But, not so fast. Life is not all balloons and roses. There are popped balloons and thorns in the midst of life. This week, when we walk with Jesus through these final days and experiences, we allow ourselves to feel grief, to know betrayal, to experience fear and, above all, to know that we are not alone. When your eyes waste away from grief, when your life is spent with sorrow, and your strength fails from misery, and you feel like a broken vessel, trust in God. God’s steadfast love will save.
This week, read the scriptures. Attend worship. Let the week seep into your soul, knowing that it won’t last forever.
Pray Holy God,
be present with us.
Remind us today
and everyday
that we are not alone,
that you are with us.
