Consider… The Season of Creation begins with a focus on the untamed and life-giving, powerful,
yet fragile oceans of the world and we reflect on how God is revealed in the ways of the ocean!
As we embark on this season, we begin with understanding God’s great love.
God’s great love created the world, which is more complex and expansive than we can understand.
The expanse of God’s love is greater than we can comprehend.
And it is this God who calls us to engage in 3 great loves – love of neighbor, love of children, and love of creation!
Pray God of all mystery and wonder,
your being is as vast as the ocean –
beyond our comprehension,
life-giving,
and unfathomable.
Yet you invite us to swim in the wonder that is your grace,
to bask in the refreshing presence
of your unquestionable and unquenchable love.
Keep us ever mindful of the importance of the ocean
in our daily living,
and of the vast life it gives to our world.
