Welcome to Wondering Wednesday. You are encouraged to use this as personal devotion and reflection. After that, you are welcome to hop on the church Facebook page or Instagram page and wonder with others.
We look forward to your participation at our Joint San Diego UCC Partnership Ash Wednesday service at 6:30 pm on Feb. 22nd. We’ll gather in person at The Table: United Church of Christ of La Mesa (5940 Kelton Ave, La Mesa, CA 91942) and Live on YouTube.
A soup dinner will precede the service at 5:30 pm. Please bring your own bowl and spoon if you can, and extras will be available as well. Come at 5:30 to connect with your Partnership church friends and get to know other UCC’ers throughout San Diego.

Some people love to start new adventures, and others approach them with a little more trepidation. No matter how we generally approach such things, there is always a certain degree of anxiety based on the things we do not know and the uncertainties that every new situation presents to us. Think about a time you have undertaken something new.
Take a moment to consider the transformations happening around you.
Did you find yourself spending time “in the wilderness” to prepare?
When has the wilderness been a place of discovery for you?
Pray…We venture forward with tentative steps into your wilderness. As we step forward, make our steps curious and bold. Grant us eyes to see new things, and hearts to feel new feelings. May this venturing forward reward us with adventure as we follow Jesus. Amen.
